Hello,

In the following example below I am trying to use a SUMIFS/MAX formula to get the total sum of a event minus the allowed amount of time for a event. When i try to use the formula below i get a sum of 0:00:00 instead of the actual value. Should i use a different formula completely or does the formula below just need a few tweaks

=SUMIFS($M$12:$M$300,$J$10:$J$300,B$12,$A$13:$A$85,A13)*MAX(0,C$2-B13)

Each criteria_range argument must contain the same number of rows and columns as the sum_range argument.

I've update the formula for my amateur mistake however i noticed that I'm still having a issue were the data provided for the person isn't the correct. The first representative sum totals for B1 shows as 0:00:00 however should be 0:00:01

Updated Formula: =SUMIFS($M$11:$M$300,$J$11:$J$300,B$10,$A$11:$A$300,A11)*MAX(0,C$2-B11)

Your screenshot is not very useful for me. What do you get if you delete the *MAX(0,C$2-B11) term? From the image it looks like this might be creating a circular reference, or possibly this term evaluates to zero.

I've attached the spread sheet i am working on and made some edits to try and make things simpler. After messing with the spread sheet i believe I need to add Vlookup , Index and match to the formula. In the attached spread sheet i'm trying to say in B11 look up A11 and B10 index column J, match J11 to A11 and match B10 to the sum of B10 for A11 from the matching of J and K. Only Count the information for A11 up to the next blank space in Column K
