Sumifs total in cell different to Function Argurments Box

Hiya

As per the attached pic my formula {=SUMIFS(Sheet3!D:D,Sheet3!A:A,">42099",Sheet3!A:A,"<42466")+SUMIF(Sheet3!E:E,"Cost of sales: Food",Sheet3!D:D)} shows an incorrect result of -4608.75
in the spreadsheet cell but a correct result of -5163.6 in the Function Arguements Box.

Can anyone suggest what the problem is?

The -5000 is the result of the sumif formula not the two formulas added together.

Thanks but that is not the problem.

The -5163.6 result is actually the correct result if i sum the cells in question manually according to the criteria.

Put each formula in a separate cell. What are the results?
