I have a spreadsheet with a list of dates in a column.

For example:

10/3/2022 9:00
10/3/2022 9:00
10/3/2022 9:00
10/3/2022 9:00
10/3/2022 9:00
10/3/2022 9:00
10/3/2022 9:00
10/4/2022 9:00
10/4/2022 9:00
10/4/2022 9:00
10/4/2022 9:00
10/4/2022 10:00
10/4/2022 10:00
10/4/2022 10:00
10/5/2022 9:00
10/12/2022 15:40
10/14/2022 10:54
10/14/2022 15:30

I am looking to create a formula that returns a summary such as:

10/3/22 (7 times)
10/4/22 (7 times)
10/4/22 (1 time)
10/5/22 (1 time)
10/12/22 (1 time)
10/14/22 (2 times)

Each day some of the older dates will decrease and new dates will be added each day. Thank you for your help!

Excel Facts

Bring active cell back into view
Start at A1 and select to A9999 while writing a formula, you can't see A1 anymore. Press Ctrl+Backspace to bring active cell into view.
You can use a Pivot Table. Assuming your column of date-time values have a header in the first row (e.g. "Date-Time" or anything, really), select your column and click Insert > Pivot Table. Click OK to put it on a new sheet, then drag the "Date" field to the Rows box, and drag it again to the Values box.

Next, right-click on one of the date values in the left column of the Pivot Table and click Group. Click "Days" and de-select any other highlighted options (like "Months"). Click OK again and you should have your counts.
