Hello everyone -

I'm struggling to summarize some data, and was hoping that someone could quickly help me out.

I have a column of numbers (17000 actually) where all are greater than 8 and I want to know how many are between 8-14, 15-21, and greater than 22.

I've tried pivot tables and count if....but I can't seen to figure out a good way to do it. Can you help?

Excel Facts

Format cells as currency
Select range and press Ctrl+Shift+4 to format cells as currency. (Shift 4 is the $ sign).
=COUNTIFS(A:A,">8", A:A, "<14")
=COUNTIFS(A:A, ">15", A:A, "<21")
=COUNTIF(A:A, ">22")

Assumes your data is in column A.

You will have gaps like this though, so you probably need:

=COUNTIFS(A:A,">=8", A:A, "<=14")
=COUNTIFS(A:A, ">=15", A:A, "<=21")
=COUNTIF(A:A, ">=22")

Maybe

=COUNTIF(A1:A17000,">22")
=COUNTIFS(A1:A17000,">=15",A1:A17000,"<=21")
=COUNTIFS(A1:A17000,">=8",A1:A17000,"<=14")

Thanks. This works for me.
