SUMPRODUCT IF in date range

To me this seems like it should be simple.

I want to SUMPRODUCT column A + B IF Column E is in a specified date range.
Criteria Dates are written out in separate cells. Its just beginning and end of each month.

I've tried searching but haven't come up with anything.
