I am using the sumproduct to count the cells with multiple criteria, but my formula has a another formula in it. If I take the (AB$38&"-"&$AG204&"-L") out and put the results into another cell it works but I do not want to do it that way because it uses a lot of cells. Any suggestions?

SUMPRODUCT(--(ExpCode=(AB$38&"-"&$AG204&"-L")),--(MKTVAL>0))

Can you sort left to right?
To sort left-to-right, use the Sort dialog box. Click Options. Choose "Sort left to right"
Are you saying that the formula yields an incorrect result?

And does this return the expected result:

SUMPRODUCT(--(ExpCode=(TRIM(AB$38)&"-"&TRIM($AG204)&"-L")),--(MKTVAL>0))
