Hi all,

I want to add the total number of attendees for a given region. My spreadsheet looks like...

Column "A" Column "B"
US 24
US 14
CANADA 7
ASIA 37
ASIA 25
CANADA 19
US 25
ASIA 15

So, my intent is to have a summarization of all of the US attendees with one number (that is, they are 'summed'. Likewise with the other regions.

Thanks.

Can you AutoAverage in Excel?
There is a drop-down next to the AutoSum symbol. Open the drop-down to choose AVERAGE, COUNT, MAX, or MIN

Thanks for the idea, unfortunately, I'm doing this for my boss and the expectation is for a tab of 'results' to be sent out and graphed. The intent is - I believe to have the data positioned in a way that it would not be manipulated.

In that case build it with SUMIF formulae. Have a list of unique regions, and refer to each with each formula.
