Hi,

How can I suppress the dialogue box that prompts the user when the workbook is opened?.

I have a database query which is setup to refresh on open, but I am always prompted with this box even though I have clicked "Enable automatic refresh". The version is 2003.

Thanks

Remove leading & trailing spaces
Save as CSV to remove all leading and trailing spaces. It is faster than using TRIM().
I haven't tried it, but you could see if setting DisplayAlerts to False in the Open event would do it.

Smitty, so set dsplayalerts=false within the workbook_open module?

I wondered if there was an option that I had missed somewhere. I am using the refresh on open option from within the data range properties.

I think I may aswell create a procedure to refresh the data range and put the code in the workbook_open module, what do you think?

Thanks
