Swapping Excel Axes

First up, apologies, this is a tremendously basic question, I am going nuts trying to figure out the answer!

I am going to manage a test plan in excel. It's a simple data set - three columns: the name of the test script, the date that it is planned to be executed and the actual date of execution. I want to represent, over time, how the planned vs. actual execution compares. The issue that I have is that Excel has automatically set up the dates on the Y axis and the cumulative total on the X axis. I would like them the other way round but can seem to find a way to swap them!

Thanks, in advance, for any help!

Bring active cell back into view
Start at A1 and select to A9999 while writing a formula, you can't see A1 anymore. Press Ctrl+Backspace to bring active cell into view.
Viki - sorry, your post is a bit vague.
What type of chart are you using ?
If a simple bar chart, maybe switching the Chart Type to Horizontal bar chart will do it.
But I'm guessing that's probably not the answer.

Did you set up the chart using the Chart Wizard, and accept Excel's suggestions on how your data was laid out ? My guess is that it guessed your data was laid out in columns, when it's actually in rows (or vice versa).
If this has happened, you need to re-define the source data ranges, including the x-axis data range.

Post back if you need more help on this.
