Sub NotSer()
If Range("C81") = "FALSE" Then
Range("F93") = "TRUE"
ElseIf Range("C81") <> "FALSE" Then
Range("F93") = "EMPTY"
End If
End Sub

I assume this code's syntax is wrong as when I run it, it always returns "TEST", even when "FALSE" is written in C81.

Note: C81 has (General formatting)

Can anyone help?

Ambidextrous Undo
Undo last command with Ctrl+Z or Alt+Backspace. If you use the Undo icon in the QAT, open the drop-down arrow to undo up to 100 steps.
The problem is the distinction between the boolean value false and the string "FALSE".

If a cell returns the boolean value false, the user will see "FALSE" in the cell.

But, in VBA, false is converted to the string "False". Which is <> "FALSE". (string equality is case sensitive)

Rather than using the default. Value property of the cell, you could use the .Text property

Code:
If Range("C81").Text = "FALSE" Then
    Range("F93").Value = "TRUE"
Else
    Range("F93").Value = "EMPTY"
End If
