Tabbing within a cell

I never heard of this, so I figured I'd ask here. A co-worker of mine said he is no longer able to tab within a cell since he was upgraded to Office 2003, and wants to know how to get that option back.

He uses Alt/Enter to wrap text within a cell and says that he used to be able to tab between each "line" within a cell.

I've never heard of this. Is it possible? Was it ever possible?

Thanks.

What is the fastest way to copy a formula?
If A2:A50000 contain data. Enter a formula in B2. Select B2. Double-click the Fill Handle and Excel will shoot the formula down to B50000.
Not entirely sure what is meant by tabbing between each line of the cell. You can use the arrow keys to move between the lines very easily, at least in Excel 2000.

If you want to indent from the left of the cell you can use the "Increase Indent" button"

By tabbing, he means using the tab key to move between lines of data within a cell. I suggested using the arrow keys, too, but he insists there's a way to use the tab key. ??
