I started using tables instead of spreadsheets in part because my research work indicated that by using tables my charts (line charts) would automatically update with the input of new data. I switched because it appeared to allow me to not have to deal with the offset formula, which is a very confusing concept for non-programmers (I have never been able to get it correct). However, I have found that my charts are not automatically updating with the input of new data. Do I still have to use either "dynamic name ranges" and / or "offset" formula even while using tables instead of worksheets? My process involves inputting of new data into a new row inserted at position 10, performing calculations in various columns but always in row 10, then charting of calculated data in those same specific columns - starting with row 10 and going upward in numbers with no specific ending row number. Any ideas why my charts are not automatically updating? Making static graphs is no problem but I don't want to have remake a static graph as often as I need to see the calculated data occupying those specific columns in graphical form.
