Hi there,

I'm having trouble trying to figure out how I count data in a column(3) that matches a text string in another column(1).

Tube Line, Station Name, Refurbishment, Modernisation,
Central Line, Queensway, TRUE, FALSE,
Central Line, Algate East, TRUE FALSE,
Central Line, Bank, FALSE, TRUE,
Central Line, Bank, FALSE, TRUE,
District Line, Richmond, TRUE, FALSE,

for example I need to know how many times CENTRAL LINE (c1) along with TRUE for refurbishment (c3) is display.

Thanks in advance for any help received.

How to find 2nd largest value in a column?
MAX finds the largest value. =LARGE(A:A,2) will find the second largest. =SMALL(A:A,3) will find the third smallest

Yeah i've tried the pivot table and got it to work showing the data i want, however i'm trying to display the infomation in a more visually graphic sense (not graphs).

I have a VBA form that captures the info and submits it to the datasheet. I then have a front end screen that will populate from the datasheet, hence my question.

I've go it to count if column A says CENTRAL LINE and then have it countif the value in column C is True - however it just counts the whole column and not where CENTRAL LINE + TRUE match.

No problem. Thanks go to NBVC and Domenic who provided the original solution to me. Saves re-inventing the wheel :)
