Take matching data and copy to new sheet?

OK, I think my boss is testing me now! I have been given a sheet with circa 22500 rows of data. My boss is asking if I can give him the sum from a column based on 2 criteria of search, namely the part code, and the relevant work centres aligned to the operation in question.

The number of rows containing the part number, lets call it 123A789, will vary depending on the number of operations it passes through. Shortest being 1 (may be a mistake!) largest being 184.

I need to be able to look at the range of cells relavant to 123A789, then sum the value against the group of operations, e.g. Ops W001 - W005.

First thought was name ranges to look into them, there are 467 individual parts, naming would take an age! Next thought was split the data down to a sheet for each part then use an Indirect lookup based on the operation codes, again, this will take an age....

So its over to you my Excel Guru friends, I am in trouble here and unless I pull several all nighters, I am going to miss my deadline......

Any help appreciated, I am going to start tinkering now so I may be back with an idea or two!
