I know the opposite and adjacent of a right angled triangle.
how do i find the angle in ver 2002 - in degrees!

anon125 - you're getting confused about how to calculate the TANGENT.

As you say, the tangent is given by the opposite / adjacent.
And for 45 degrees, this is 1/1.
So the tangent IS 1.
You don't need to work out the tangent OF 1.

Excel Facts

Move date out one month or year
Use =EDATE(A2,1) for one month later. Use EDATE(A2,12) for one year later.
if i got it right you need the angle in degrees:
=ATAN(opposite/adjacent)*180/PI()
remember the maths :)
