Task Pane - Disable in 2007

At some point I was playing with making a user control in visual studio for Excel. Now, each time excel loads, a "my task pane" window shows with my user control inside. Seems that this should be simple to disable but I cannot find a setting to do so. How do you get rid of this permanently?

Assuming it's done in an Add-In can't you just remove the Add-In?
