Good Day everyone,

I have a simple macro to cut and paste data from a web page into my excel 2019 spreadsheet.

The web site I am getting the data rom has many locations (Venues) and within each Venue there is an option to select areas (1 to 12)

For Example: In cell A1 I have the venue - Newcastle - In cell A2 I have area 3

How can I use these cell references to tell the macro which venue to go to and then which area to select, then have it cut and paste this info into my spreadsheet?

I am currently doing this manually and it is very time consuming and annoying. I know there must be a better way to get this info into my spreadsheet.

Your expert advice and direction will be much appreciated.

Please assist….Kind Regards….gsdanger

Good Morning JohnnyL,
Thanks for prompt reply...
As you can gather from my initial post, I am not very familiar with the web and how it works. However, I will endeavor to explain what I am trying to achieve.

I am a horse racing enthusiast and have been using the web for horse racing data analysis. All things had been going fine, until a few things occurred.
Firstly, I used to gather race information (Todays race Venues and a list of each race at that venue) from the old unitab web site. This web site was decommissioned last year (the software was merged with the NSW TAB software)
Secondly, in conjunction with the unitab site, I was getting the detailed form for each horse from the sky racing website
(Example: http://www.skyracing.com.au/index.p...ce&id=136473996&meetingid=134461699&Itemid=88).
This site, a few months ago, upgraded their site, thus rendering all of my links and web pages invalid (Dratt!!).

What I am trying to do is get race data (all the individual horse form) downloaded into my excel 2019 spreadsheet, so I can analyze the data.
I can cut and paste each individual race form into my spreadsheet, however, this is very time consuming. In my initial post, I wanted to know how I could input into my macro instruction to go to a certain venue (eg: Wagga) and then a certain race (Example: Race 4), and then have my macro go there, select all the form and then paste it into my spreadsheet.

I know this is very clunky, however, it will give me a starting point to re-build my spreadsheets (of course with your assistance).

I hope I have given you enough background info to assist in some small way.

Please advise..Kind Regards...
gsdanger.
