My team has a Excel file (~2MB) and does concurrent editing, only about 5-10 users at a time. Worksheet protection is on, with some columns editable, others are not. Everyone has been instructed to stay in the web version of Excel. Some users have created their own views, and saved them. The problem is that sometimes the views don't work. The user will select their view name from the dropdown. Excel shows that name as the now current view (instead of Default), but the data does not change, and after a few seconds, Excel goes back to showing "Default" as the view name. This does not happen all the time, sometimes the view can be used successfully, sometimes not.

I thought maybe someone was going into the Desktop version, and that was causing a problem for the users in the web version, but I tested that and it did have any impact. I'm at a loss as to what else could be happening. Has anyone else seen this, or have any ideas I could test?

When they said...
When they said you are going to "Excel at life", they meant you "will be doing Excel your whole life".
