Text Box Gridline Alignment

Can anyone please tell me how to get the gridlines in a text box to align perfectly within the established gridlines in Excel? I took an Excel class a few years ago, and remember there was a way to get the text box lines to align perfectly with the other gridlines.

I believe it involved holding the Alt or control key down while double clicking on the text box gridlines?? I have tried every combination imaginable and the lines are not matching up perfectly. Microsoft Help is no help, because everything refers to aligning the text not the gridlines…

Thanks,

Shawn

How to show all formulas in Excel?
Press Ctrl+` to show all formulas. Press it again to toggle back to numbers. The grave accent is often under the tilde on US keyboards.
Have you tried this? Select the textbox, then click the DRAW icon near bottom left of sheet, choose SNAP, TO GRID.
Anyone else? /s/ Larry

Yes, Thank you. The Alt key trick seems to work fine. I am not sure where to find the snap to grid button/menu item that you refer to. I don't see any similiar choise on the drawing toolbar either?
