Is it possible to change an integer to text. eg

"1" becomes "one"
"2" becomes "two"

etc etc

Its to concatenate some text ("we have three responses" instead of "we have 3 responses") - I'm doing it by lookup just now - but just wondered if there were an easier way....

" or would I just be best using the lookup"

well, there's no short cut for getting the relationships out - you'll have to state them explicitly somewhere. so if you're not trying to do something like 123.1 = One hundred and twenty three point one, a lookup approach is probably as good as any. that said, here's a thread with a few examples of vba approaches:

(more could be found with a search for 'convert number text' or similar)
