I am wondering how I can incorporate formatting into a "text" formula. For example, I am showing -30% via the formula but would like to show it as (30%)

=CHOOSE($E$4,TEXT(W22,([red]"€0.00"))

I tried to place [red] but obviously it does not work....any idea how I can get it to work? there is another syntax in my formula that i did now show to not confused the question

thank you.

Excel Facts

When they said...
When they said you are going to "Excel at life", they meant you "will be doing Excel your whole life".
Why are you using CHOOSE for only 1 option?

You can't format text like that in a formula. You can make the whole cell red, or you can format the cell with a number format, or you can use Conditional Formatting to format it based on the result.

Can you give a little more detail about what you are trying to accomplish?
