The TEXT formula can be used to show numbers as text.
The cell which has the TEXT formula can be used in future calculations as well.

In the example below the number is rounded to 1 decimal place.
If there were hundreds of these cells to be summed, the result will have accumulated error.
Is there a way to allow for both:
1. Show all cells with 1 decimal place.
2. Sum 100 cells without the accumulated error.

NOTE: This question relates to the TEXT formula.

Excel Formula:
=TEXT(A1/B1,"##0.0")

Excel Facts

How to create a cell-sized chart?
Tiny charts, called Sparklines, were added to Excel 2010. Look for Sparklines on the Insert tab.
If you use a formula on the text function then the formula will see the value as it is displayed, not the actual value.

If you specifically require the text function then you will need to increase the number of decimal places shown, or recalculate the original data to sum without using the text function.
Excel Formula:
=TEXT(SUM(A1:A100/B1:B100),"#0.0")
