Hello!

Are there any text/number alignment rules? It appears that my predecessor centered columns that have numbers and left-aligned columns that have the text.

Why can't spreadsheets drive cars? They crash too often!
The default format is: Text aligns to the Left and Numbers to the Right.
In trouble shooting lookup formulas, having the Numbers aligned to the left is generally a fair indication that they are being treated as text and this could cause lookups to fail when the numbers are text in one table but numbers in the other.

Most people dealing with numbers will prefer that the format is such that the right hand side of the numeric values align, and that larger numbers are broken up with a comma (or whatever is standard for the Language / Country) and that decimal points align.

Identification numbers such as serial numbers don't matter as much so personal preference comes into play and centering them or left aligning them is less of an issue.
