Is there a function that will automatically perform/update the text to column division you can do through the data drop down tile? Can this function be set to take each word, regardless of size? I have a cell reference that pulls a two to four word name from another tab as it is updated and I want to have it split the name up and give me the first word of the name in another cell. Any ideas?

How can you turn a range sideways?
Copy the range. Select a blank cell. Right-click, Paste Special, then choose Transpose.
You can write a macro that will do the Text to Columns automatically. The simplest way to get the code is to use the macro recorder to record yourself doing it, then modify the code as needed (usually to make it more general, if necessary).

Regarding the separation by words, simply select the "Delimited" option and select the "Space" option as your delimiter.
