How do convert text to columns IF the imported text will be more than 256 columns when the converted?

Or is there another approach to my desired end result, as described below?

All of the imported text is in Cell A1 as a singe row, i.e. (45,23,4,5,…etc). I then convert it via text to columns, then copy / paste special as Transposed text so that all the data is in rows. This works 100% if the text to column data in less than 256.

Thanx in advance
Ivan

Excel Facts

Create a chart in one keystroke
Select the data and press Alt+F1 to insert a default chart. You can change the default chart to any chart type
If the data is comma delimited you could use something like...

Code:
Public Sub my_transpose()
on error resume next

    'change to delimiter you are using....
    strDelim = ","
    varItms = Split(Cells(1, 1).Value, strDelim, -1, vbTextCompare)

    For x = 0 To UBound(varItms)
        Cells(x + 1, 1).Value = varItms(x)
    Next x

End Sub
