Hi,

I was wondering if anyone could tell me the proper syntax for calling data from another worksheet and placing it into a textbox form.

What I am trying to achieve is a dropdown box which will have a list of states and then when the user selects one it will pull the data from that state's worksheet into the text box.

At the moment I am just trying to figure out how get the data into the friggin' text box. :) I can call data from another worksheet with no problems...just not into a textbox.

Cheers,

James :)

What type of textbox are you referring to ?

Is it on a userform or a worksheet?

Do you really need a textbox for this?

Couldn't you just use a VLOOKUP to return the data you want to a cell, based on the value selected in the dropdown?

Hmm...

The thing is that I am building a report for a bunch of execs. The way they wanted it to work was that 5 of the execs would have a report for their own state which they filled out. I used the control textboxes for some of the pages because I liked the flexibility they had (scroll bars, able to accept large volumes of text, more secure than the drawn textboxes etc.). The uber-exec wanted a master report which would allow him to access all the data from the states at the click of a button.

I *had* assumed it would be pretty (kind of) simple.

If this really is insanely complicated are there any alternatives you could suggest? I really do need to use text boxes for some of the report but I am willing to explore alternatives. :)

Cheers.
