The stupid text box resizing default also applies to charts (Grrr...)

The default property for text boxes is "Move and size with cells". That is, if I add, delete, or resize a row or column, any text boxes will probably get moved and/or resized.

I just discovered that this also applies to charts. I just had a very carefully and painfully crafted chart all screwed up because I moved some rows behind it. GRRRRRRRRrrrrrr.

I have 2 questions:

1. What percentage of the time do workbook authors want this behavior as opposed to the opposite, which is not to move or resize with cells? My guess is less that 5%. Maybe less than 1%. I know I NEVER want it.

2. In excel 2007, there was no way to change this default. Is there in Excel 365?

I don't have much of a problem with this being the default as long as the geniuses at M$FT provide me with an option to change it. I mean the default, not the setting for a particular object.

Right click on chart>Format Chart Area>click on dark icon, then select from menu for placement.

Yes, I know how to set it for a particular chart (or text box). My question was whether there is a way to change the default so that any new charts have it set that way.

Or the arrogant geniuses at M$FT could provide a default setting that any user could change. I guess that would be too user friendly.
