Occasionally with some files I get the very irritating situation when copy a sheet, which produces a similar message to that shown with attached file. In most recent instance small file, no named ranges, no code, no links to other files. I would appreciate it if anyone can advise how to avoid. Many thanks

Using Excel 2016

Excel Facts

Enter current date or time
Ctrl+: enters current time. Ctrl+; enters current date. Use Ctrl+: Ctrl+; Enter for current date & time.
This implies that there are hidden named ranges in your sheet... Quite some add-ins use that feature to store information. Those named ranges will not show up in the default excel name manager. Some options: a) run a script to unhide all hidden names (e.g. How to hide / unhide all named ranges in Excel? ) or b) use a tool like Excel: Name Manager (free) to remove those names.
