This expression is typed incorrectly etc

Hi all, I have a qry from a form based on two dates that are selcted in combo boxes. I keep getting 'This expression is typed incorrectly, or is too complex to be evaluated. For example etc etc.... I have no idea what is going wrong any help appreciated....

This is the qry
Between [Forms]![frmRealEstate]![Combo40] And [Forms]![frmRealEstate]![Combo42]

combo 40 and 42 is where the dates go in
