Hi All

Im uploading Excel file to our ECM system (OnBase) and get an error saying I have external links in my document.

Using Edit Link I see one, it tells me the source, the type, update and Status of that link.

The type is Remote file. The location the links refes to is the original address excel file was stored as a template.
The original template file has no remote link.

I have searched everywhere, and this question has even been asked before on this forum in 2010 with no answer.

Does anyone know what a Remote File type external link is?
How do I find it in my workbook (I have 15 odd sheets and cant point to it anywhere)?

Any help gratfuly recieved,
Regards
Tim

Excel Facts

Pivot Table Drill Down
Double-click any number in a pivot table to create a new report showing all detail rows that make up that number
I could explain, using this method I see no external links.
My real question is What is a Remote File type in external linkage terms.
For formula links its easy to understand, Im after the same understanding of what a remote file link is
