This is doing my head in

Why when I create my formula is Excel displaying the formula and not the answer. I know this is a really simple thing to correct but I cant remember how.

Please Help before my boot gets introduced to my Screen.

try TOOLS --> OPTIONS --> View tab uncheck FORMULAS

The cell you're typing the formula in may be formatted as text.

Or it could be a Control key function that has been depressed.
Holding down the Ctrl key and the key to the left of the number one displays formulas.

Or you could be forgetting '=' at the start of your formulas.
