Ran into this yesterday unexpectedly & wasted several hours searching online with no luck. Was able to fix it & here's how...
I have current version of Excel & Windows 10.

1. Check other Excel files 1st. In my case, the keyboard shortcuts were OK.
2. Open suspect file on another computer to see if it works OK. It did.
3. Save a copy of file with different name on alternate computer.
4. Open same file with different name on original computer with problem. It worked fine.

Have no clue what caused this but went down several rat holes & wasted an entire afternoon.

Excel Facts

Select all contiguous cells
Pressing Ctrl+* (asterisk) will select the "current region" - all contiguous cells in all directions.
I have not faced such till now. God Save Me. You may report all such bugs/crash reports to Microsoft for developers to have a fix for the same.

Hello,

I had this happen today, my excel crashed then the conditioner formatted cells with "TEXT" would not copy using CTRL-C the sheet would crash excel.

The issue was the clipboard had been corrupted.

How I cleared this error was opening a blank excel sheet, and copy using CTRL-C and paste - this clears the clipboard or did for me and now my macro enabled sheet is back to normal.

Thanks
