Need help in a time calculation.

Is there a formula or Macro that i can use in a worksheet to calculate time over a period. Plus if it gose over the 24 hour period (in to another date) can that also be calculated in hours also.

### Excel Facts

VLOOKUP to Left?
Use =VLOOKUP(A2,CHOOSE({1,2},\$Z\$1:\$Z\$99,\$Y\$1:\$Y\$99),2,False) to lookup Y values to left of Z values.
Hi NEWXL:

Welcome to the Board!

Supplementing ylijohe's recommendation, look at the simple worksheet simulation, which shows the Hoursworked computed from subtracting the Begin time from the End Time, and a couple of examples where the End time goes into the following day.

Thank you all for you replies..

But I am still having a little problem getting my head around this.

If the time line run's on through several days. I.e
Start time 07:00 in on box and 07:05 in the other box, but 2 days later. Would this be possible and can you point me in the right direction..

again Many thank for you input.

Look at yogi's example in A4 and B4 above. The "thing" is to include the date in them.
