I have a spreadsheet which I use for tracking delivery dates on orders. I need to receive an alert/notification/reminder when the date has expired with 5 days.

Please could you assist?

Excel Facts

Return population for a City
If you have a list of cities in A2:A100, use Data, Geography. Then =A2.Population and copy down.
Hi there, hope this makes sense.

I have a date in column D i.e. 15/04/2010 (order date)
I need a notification to alarm when it is now due (5 days later) i.o.w. on the 20th it needs to notify me - only if no date has been entered into column E (estimated shipping date)

Thanks

OK. Do you also want it to notify you if it is MORE than 5 days later ?

Also, what do you want the notification to look like ?

Easy options are
1) change the cell colour or text colour
2) make a message appear in another cell, saying it's due.

I'll explain how to do these two.

A formula for your second option 2. is exactly what I am looking for.

Thanks, your assistance is greatly appreciated!
