Hello peeps!

This is for a job sheet

I have a spreadsheet with 2 columns. The first column is start time the second column is stop time. The start time comes from the previous rows stop time value. so the values keep on increasing as you go down the rows, which is correct but unfortunatley i cannot get the time to stop / reset at 23:59hrs and change to time past midnight( 00:30hrs etc, which would be the following day)

Instead the numbers keep on climbing

I hope this makes sense!

Thanks in advance

Best regards

Excel Facts

Quick Sum
Select a range of cells. The total appears in bottom right of Excel screen. Right-click total to add Max, Min, Count, Average.
You need to format the cells - Format : cells: time :13.30 etc

The assuming col A is start time and col B stop time
Make cell A2 = B1 and so on down the column

If you enter a stop time in B1 say 15:30
cell A2 will read 15.30
Then drag the cell B1 down you will see that B2 = 16:30, B3 = 17:30 etc until you cross midnight and go back to 00:30

I presume that when used, you would enter the stop time manually?

What do you get if you don't get 00:30?

If you have 24:30 then that means your cells are formatted as [hh]:mm.

reformat cells as hh:mm and you won't see times over 23:59
