I have two spread sheets, one is a daily and the other is a monthly.
On the daily I have an Update button that when clicked, it opens the monthly and distributes the information from the daily to the correct cells on the Monthly.
What I want to do is make it so the update can only be ran once in a 24 hour period.

Excel Facts

Which came first: VisiCalc or Lotus 1-2-3?
Dan Bricklin and Bob Frankston debuted VisiCalc in 1979 as a Visible Calculator. Lotus 1-2-3 debuted in the early 1980's, from Mitch Kapor.
Since the macro opens the Monthly sheet, have it spot the row/column that the data will insert into (matching a data, I presume?) and if there is already data in the one of the key cells, abort the macro.

Alternately, and perhaps better, if you REALLY need to run it again to fix something, if data is spotted in the target row/column already, have your macro offer to clear the old data and reinsert.

Thank you
It now will abort if cells are not empty.
I haven't tried the second idea. Will have to play with that one. Not sure how to make it do that.

Thanks Again
