Hi
I would like to insert a static time stamp in cell B1 when a value in cell A1 is greater than zero. I have tried this function =IF(A1>0,NOW(),"") placed in cell B1 but that updates the time.

Please will someone show me the correct function to use.

Any help will be much appreciated.

Thanks,

Rob.

Excel Facts

Test for Multiple Conditions in IF?
Use AND(test, test, test, test) or OR(test, test, test, ...) as the logical_test argument of IF.
How is A1 being changed? Via formula or manually? Do you want this for just A1 or all of column A?

Also, does the time stamp stick? Or does the timestamp get overwritten (or erased) every time A1 changes?

Hi Smitty and Greg,

Smitty, cell A1 is real time data from an online server. Once the value increases above zero the value remins the same. Column A would be good.

Greg, the time stamp sticks.

Cheers,

Rob.
