Hello,
I am new to this forum and I've search the web and this forum and can not find any information on the following issue I am having....

What I want is a pop up message or userform that when a user click on a button on a sheet that updates all the data from a ODBC connectioin, that the pop up says "Updating Sheet...Please Wait...." then when the update is done it closes the pop up. I've got the message in the status bar but some sheets take longer and my user's are ctrlaltdel'ing the spreadsheet because they think its locked up....

Anyone have any thoughts?????

Excel Facts

Links? Where??
If Excel says you have links but you can't find them, go to Formulas, Name Manager. Look for old links to dead workbooks & delete.
Use a userform but show it modelessly:
Code:
sub blah()
   Dim frm as Userform1
   Set frm = New Userform1
   frm.Show False
   frm.repaint
  ' processing code
   unload frm
