Hello
Any advice is appreciated.

I created a popup form "frmUpdate" that has a lablel : "Running Updates" for 1000 milsec... and then closes itself.

What I want to do is when the user clicks "build" command, I want the "frmUpdate" to appear to let them know what is happening while the queries run in the background.

Is this possible?
thanks

Do you really think that 1 second is enough time for it to even register for people? I would go for at least 3 seconds (3000) instead. One second is just enough time for a flash of something to go by.

The progress bar is cool but in direct response to your question - yes you can have it show but you need to put a

DoEvents just after the code which opens the form so it can come up otherwise it will just be lost in the code that is running. And like I said, a little more time would be good to give it.
