Hi,

I have a quality log that records pass fail data. If an item fails there is various different locations it will move to.

These locations are selected via a drop down list in column M.

I would like to automatically record the amount of time each location is selected in the cell.

For example - 'location 1' is selected then a day later 'location 2' is selected. How do I record the time this row spent at 'location 1'? (locations have different names on workbook)

Excel Facts

How to fill five years of quarters?
Type 1Q-2023 in a cell. Grab the fill handle and drag down or right. After 4Q-2023, Excel will jump to 1Q-2024. Dash can be any character.
you are going to have to timestamp every location for every item. i would use
Excel Formula:
=NOW()
then you can subtract one from the other
