I have a problem with my code to record a timestamp using VB in Excel 97.

Although the code recorded dates correctly for times in late November, now at the start of December the code is recording the day and the month the wrong way round (ie 2nd December 2005 becomes 12th February 2005)

My timestamp recording code is

Worksheets("Sample").Cells(x,y) = Date & " " & Time

Does anyone know how to tweak this to get an accurate timestamp that Excel recognises????

Ta very much

What is the fastest way to copy a formula?
If A2:A50000 contain data. Enter a formula in B2. Select B2. Double-click the Fill Handle and Excel will shoot the formula down to B50000.
First of all, I would check that the cells that aren't working correctly are formatted the same as the previous ones that are.

You could also try formatting the date within the macro:
Code:
Worksheets("Sample").Cells(x,y) = Format(Date, "dd/mm/yy") & " " & Time
