Does anyone know a fix for the "Too Many Cell Formats" error. I had this error come up and now I am stuck.

Excel Facts

Why does 9 mean SUM in SUBTOTAL?
It is because Sum is the 9th alphabetically in Average, Count, CountA, Max, Min, Product, StDev.S, StDev.P, Sum, VAR.S, VAR.P.
You either need to invest in better computer equipment or reduce the number of formats you are using

Don't paste between versions of 2003 and 2007. That's caused this error in my experience.

Also, I don't know of a fix. Good luck!

I cannot reduce the number of formats because once this error comes up I can't open the file. Every time I try to open the file the error shows up and I'm stuck. Endless loop. :p

You probably won't like this but you might need to consider building the book from scratch.

If you can get access to a computer which can cope with it then you could bust it up into little bits to assist you in your rebuild.

If you want I can see if my system will allow it to open but I'm not promising anything as it isn't all bells and whistles :)
