Hi,

Can anyone help me overcoming the 7 ifs problem - I want my formula to return the furthest right cell with a value in it (out of 10 cells).
I.e. if a1 = 1, b1 = 1, c1 = 2, d1 = 3, e1 is blank, f1 is blank, g1 is blank, h1 is blank, i1 is blank, j1 is blank I want my formula to return 3 (d1).

any help would be much appreciated!

thanks

martyn

Shade all formula cells
To shade all formula cells: Home, Find & Select, Formulas to select all formulas. Then apply a light fill color.
thanks fairwinds - very nifty (not to mention quick)!

i should have said that the cells i'm looking at have dates in them but are just general format so the formula won't 'read' them.

sorry...
