toolbar greyed out

If you look at this image you will see that options in my toolbar are greyed out.

I have to quit excel and restart in order to get things to the way they should be. It always greys out when I run a certain macro but this macro is 300 pages long and I'm not sure if anyone could read the macro and find out what is causing the problem.

Because my work machine doesnt allow to open the file in the link, I am not sure what it looks like; however, it can be because the macro "protect"s the sheet.
If you want go to the macro and search for ".Protect" and remove those lines and try again.

I don't understand why this forum doesn't allow us to upload images directly from our desktop.
In any case, .protect does not appear anywhere in my macros.
