I need help building a formula to total each person's amounts in a separate column when they're duplicated. ex:

<table x:str="" style="border-collapse: collapse; width: 227pt;" width="303" border="0" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0"><col style="width: 71pt;" width="95"> <col style="width: 48pt;" width="64"> <col style="width: 108pt;" width="144"> <tbody><tr style="height: 12.75pt;" height="17"> <td style="height: 12.75pt; width: 71pt;" width="95" height="17">SSN</td> <td style="width: 48pt;" width="64">AMT</td> <td style="width: 108pt;" width="144">TOTAL AMT</td> </tr> <tr style="height: 12.75pt;" height="17"> <td style="height: 12.75pt;" x:num="" align="right" height="17">387781101</td> <td x:num="" align="right">25</td> <td x:num="" align="right">25</td> </tr> <tr style="height: 12.75pt;" height="17"> <td style="height: 12.75pt;" x:num="" align="right" height="17">387783945</td> <td x:num="" align="right">75</td> <td x:num="" align="right">75</td> </tr> <tr style="height: 12.75pt;" height="17"> <td style="height: 12.75pt;" x:num="" align="right" height="17">387843713</td> <td x:num="" align="right">150</td> <td x:num="" align="right">150</td> </tr> <tr style="height: 12.75pt;" height="17"> <td style="background: rgb(255, 255, 153) none repeat scroll 0% 0%; height: 12.75pt; -moz-background-clip: -moz-initial; -moz-background-origin: -moz-initial; -moz-background-inline-policy: -moz-initial;" x:num="" align="right" height="17">387862646</td> <td x:num="" align="right">100</td> <td x:num="" align="right">177</td> </tr> <tr style="height: 12.75pt;" height="17"> <td style="background: rgb(255, 255, 153) none repeat scroll 0% 0%; height: 12.75pt; -moz-background-clip: -moz-initial; -moz-background-origin: -moz-initial; -moz-background-inline-policy: -moz-initial;" x:num="" align="right" height="17">387862646</td> <td x:num="" align="right">77</td> <td x:num="" align="right">177</td> </tr> <tr style="height: 12.75pt;" height="17"> <td style="background: rgb(255, 255, 153) none repeat scroll 0% 0%; height: 12.75pt; -moz-background-clip: -moz-initial; -moz-background-origin: -moz-initial; -moz-background-inline-policy: -moz-initial;" x:num="" align="right" height="17">387868771</td> <td x:num="" align="right">25</td> <td x:num="" align="right">181</td> </tr> <tr style="height: 12.75pt;" height="17"> <td style="background: rgb(255, 255, 153) none repeat scroll 0% 0%; height: 12.75pt; -moz-background-clip: -moz-initial; -moz-background-origin: -moz-initial; -moz-background-inline-policy: -moz-initial;" x:num="" align="right" height="17">387868771</td> <td x:num="" align="right">100</td> <td x:num="" align="right">181</td> </tr> <tr style="height: 12.75pt;" height="17"> <td style="background: rgb(255, 255, 153) none repeat scroll 0% 0%; height: 12.75pt; -moz-background-clip: -moz-initial; -moz-background-origin: -moz-initial; -moz-background-inline-policy: -moz-initial;" x:num="" align="right" height="17">387868771</td> <td x:num="" align="right">56</td> <td x:num="" align="right">181</td> </tr> </tbody></table>

Sometimes there will be as many as 5 or 6 duplicate values, sometimes none....

Any help is greatly appreciated.

### Excel Facts

Which lookup functions find a value equal or greater than the lookup value?
MATCH uses -1 to find larger value (lookup table must be sorted ZA). XLOOKUP uses 1 to find values greater and does not need to be sorted.

Try using the SUMIF function, where you are summing all the Amt values from your entire column that match the SSN on that row.

See Excel's help on the SUMIF function for examples and explanations.
