i have these

columnA columnB

2 $15
2 $25
TOTAL $50


when i filter column A so that it selects only 2 in column A, the total should change to $40.
is there a formula which changes as we change the filter or is there a better way to do it?

Something like this...

=SUBTOTAL(9,B2:B5)

Look at the function subtotal

for instance if you wanted to sum the filtered values = SUBTOTAL(9,RANGE)
