Total specific columns only

Using a formula rather than VBA, how could I add up the figure on the same row number of each column depending on the column title? In a cell on the same row at the end I want the total of all the values in the cells say on line 100 which have the same defining column heading. How is this possible please?

Try:

=SUMIF(A1:M1,"your title",A100:M100)

That formula sums all the data though when I want it to strip out only the columns that are relevant. Anything else?

No it does not.

It sums only the columns that have "your title" in row 1.
