total spread over 32 cells in rank

Sorry about the awful title but this is quite hard to explain.

So I have 32 cells, let's just call them products, I also have a number of 24.768. This needs to be spread about between all 32 products in a rank, so the first product would get the highest % of 24.768. The tricky part (for me at least) is that the range is 24.768 through to -24.768. So if you added all 32 product values it would equal zero. Does this make any sense at all?

Ideally I need

Column A = Product name
Column B = Rank (1 to 32)
Column C = Value (best products will be in the positive range, worst in the negative range)

No idea what you're talking about whatsoever!

But... could you maybe work out proportions of 24.768 using the formula for triangle numbers?
So imagine you had 8 products. The first 4 would need the positive values. You would need to split the 24 into 1 + 2 +3 + 4 = 10 pieces (4th triangle number). Rank 1 would get the highest, 4/10 or 40% of 24. Product with rank 4 would get 1/10 of 24.
