I have a workbook where each sheet represents the day of the month, 10-1,10-2,10-3,10-4,etc. Each sheet has a column titled by state and a column title by persons name. On another sheet, I want to calculate totals for each state. Ex: if A1:A100 = "Georgia" and b1:b100 = "Jimmie" total c1:c100. How can I total each state for all the days in the month on the summary sheet?

### Excel Facts

Have you tried using sumifs formula? You would use the sumifs to total the Georgia and Jimmies, and an indirect formula to specify the ranges on each worksheet.

The sumifs formula is only on 2007..otherwise you will need a sumproduct formula for the multiple conditions.
