Is there a way to find which cell in a big worksheet has a link to another file? I've killed off all I can find, but there's still a link I can't find, which may cause problems later.

Alternatively, the links in the sheet point to various places in Personnel.xls. It's always the same file name but, for different uses, will live in different folders. It will always be open when using the linked sheet.

Is there a way to prevent Excel from appending the path to the link, so it will just look for an open copy of Personnel to link to?

What does custom number format of ;;; mean?
Three semi-colons will hide the value in the cell. Although most people use white font instead.

You should be able to go to Edit-->Links and it will have a list of all the links within your workbook?

Hope that helps.
